Income Tax Ahmedabad Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria

AGE LIMIT

For Inspector of Income Tax: 18 to 30 years of age (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2005).
For Tax Assistant/ Multi-Tasking Staff: 18 to 27 years of age (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2005).

RELAXATION OF AGE

Relaxation of upper age limit up to a maximum of 5 years for General/OBC candidates and 10 years in the case of SC/ST candidates, as per Govt. of India instructions for meritorious sportspersons.
Departmental candidates with three years of continuous service in Central Government can apply up to the age of 40 years (45 years for SC/ST candidates).

Education Qualification

Inspector of Income Tax	Graduate Age Limit: 18 to 30 Years
Tax Assistant	Graduate Having a data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour. Age Limit: 18 to 27 Years
Multi-tasking staff	10th Pass Age Limit: 18 to 27 Years

SPORTS ELIGIBILITY:

Appointment can be made of a sportsperson considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:

Sportspersons having represented

A State or the country in a National or International competition in any of the games/sports mentioned in para-5; or
Their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards in any of the games/sports or
The State School Teams in the National Sports/games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the games/sports mentioned in para-5; or
Sportspersons who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive
